I'm in college but I want to join the military?
I’m in my second year of college and I feel like I’m learning stuff but the truth is, I’m so bored.
I’ve seen movies like Saving Private Ryan, Band Of Brothers, and Miracle At St. Anna and those movies have made me curious about the military.
It’s not so much that I want to die, I just want to see more action. Plus I think wearing a uniform with a unique infantry patch would be pretty cool with the comradery.
I think it would be cool to be a paratrooper.
go for it by all means
just be ready to endure some intense training

If you really are interested, then do it. This country is very proud of the people who protect it and I give complete respect to all those who do!

yes bu you have to be ready for the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
People in the military are mean and you are trained how to be a killer(murderer)
nothing more.
I could never give my life over to them. If you want to defend your country; always remember you have the right to bear arms.

The military is a good place to start it’ll not only teach you life skills but survival skills to. BUT you have to be mentally tough emotions and fear is not tolerated it has its goods but what most people don’t talk about is the bads. It could mentally mess with you in ways that may not effect you now but later in life. If your bored in life right now try finding things that interest you like guitar or dancing. Military is a pretty big step. I’d ask around to people who have been in it and people who are still in it and get as much info as you can to help make up your mind. You ain’t got nothing to lose but your life.

so go and sign up now.??
I would suggest that you make it known you want to finish your college so consider going through the ROTC program which will pick up some of your tuition. Go visit the ROTC office. Summer camp will be required
Being an officer will give you more opportunity to see the action. less officers than enlisted.

Finish college first, then you can join the military as an officer.

I say join. You can always do ROTC in your college to get a feel for the military life you still get to go to college and they pay for it. After college you can join as a officer. If you want to do the full blown military experience right now research which branch you want to serve, find a recruiter in your area, take the Asvab(Score well) and get a guarantee job as a paratrooper or special forces make sure its in writing because if its not and you just join you might not get the job you want.
